Palmy Days
I have long had a desire to capture the world around me either on canvas or with the camera. I studied foundation photography at Bath College (and later in Cambridge) and worked on a collection of portraits of Sri Lankan children using an old fashioned SLR, which were ultimately published in a book: Palmy Days. Proud to be from....
I have recently started work on a digital photography project in my local community - seeking beautiful images in perhaps unexpected places around me and provoking a pride in the local area. The pictures have been turned into postcards and I hope to exhibit them locally and take the project idea further afield.
